Sembawang Park

I promised a blog on my husband's trip to India, but since he went there as part of a delegation from CERC's Session, I have to wait to post that blog until after the Session gives a presentation to the congregation next Friday.  In the meantime, I'll post a few pictures of last night's homeschool outing at Sembawang Park.

This swing was a highlight.

Last month the first prime minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, passed away.  He is the man who brought Singapore from being a third-world country to where it is today.  He was greatly loved and respected by many people, and that could be seen in that some people stood in line up to eight hours in the hot Singapore sun to view his body!  Because of that big event in Singapore's history (it's been compared to what the death of George Washington would be like in the U.S.), the devotions last night were on Romans 13.
