Visit from the Drneks (1)

With Jon & Michelle Drnek's family here for almost two weeks, we were able to see many of the sights of Singapore.

Most of us at the Battlebox (WWII bunker)

Caleb got really close to a lemur and a white-faced saki monkey at the zoo.

Ryan got to be in a show at the bird park, with two toucans landing on his arms.

Jon also got to participate in the show.

With too many of us to fit into one car, we spent a lot of time on public transportation!

Waiting for a bus to take us to the MRT (train) station

The Drnek kids were excited about riding a double-decker bus!

A different train ride

We often tried to stand in the front of the train so the kids could look out
the windows--although almost all you can see is a dark tunnel ahead of you. :-)

There were also new foods to try.

Wonton mee (dish on top) is a favorite of some in our family.

The Drneks were also able to renew their friendship with the Lee family, whom they had met in the U.S. a couple of years ago.
